Group Instruction
For beginners, we offer group classes on guitar and bass. Beginners age 6 - 11 have the opportunity to learn in a communal environment under the tutelage of a qualified group instructor. We believe that group lessons at an early age serves many purposes, including but not limited to: creating a sense of accountability in each student, fostering social skills by interacting with peers, giving the students an opportunity to play with others right from the start. Most students are in lessons to achieve the ultimate goal of playing with others. We feel it is necessary to introduce our young students to that concept earlier than later.
Classes are one hour and will be held on Mondays and Thursdays, 4pm-5pm. Students will be assigned to a specific day, but are welcome to sit in on another class on weeks that they cannot make their assigned day.

Young Band Development Program
As our students begin to reach an intermediate skill level, many of them get what we call “the itch”; the longing to get out of that little box of a room and begin to play with other students. Our Young Band Development Program was created to do just that: get the students rehearsing and performing with each other. A semester format with syllabus and intinerary gives the students and parent a clear timeline, as well as the opportunity to finish out a season, then decide to move into the next semester or take a break. It also gives the students the opportunity to play with many different students throughout the year. The theme for the 2009 fall semester is “Rock Music of the Sixties and Seventies”
